Dear Friends:

December brings us holiday celebration and time spent with family and friends.  When we look back at 2009, we naturally acknowledge our storied accomplishments and promise ourselves resolutions for the New Year.

This holiday season I encourage you to complete the 2009 year with one more storied accomplishment, one of joy, hope and acceptance by supporting some of the most deserving individuals in your community, local Special Olympics athletes.

A contribution of any amount will support a movement of Champions, providing equipment, uniforms, facilities competitions, and much more, while at the same time offer these athletes opportunities to experience storied accomplishments of their own.  Their stories will be told at dinner tables and family gatherings over the holidays, offering celebration around sport that were never to be imagined.

Whether your support is financial, or through volunteerism, or simply by encouraging others to open their hearts and minds to people with intellectual disabilities…you’ve given the gifts of joy, hope and acceptance to our athletes, and for that, we thank you.

To you and yours, have a very happy and healthy holiday season.

Happy Holidays,

Marc Edenzon
