Feature Blog- Average Joe’s (Snowbowl Team)

Sal Trabona, 30,  is from Fair Lawn, NJ.  He is an Accounting Manager and Captain of the “Average Joe’s” Snowbowl Team.  Sal was nice enough to answer some questions for us about the Snowbowl and his experiences!

KW: How many Snowbowls have you participated in?

ST: This will be my 4th.

KW: How did you come up with your team name?

ST: Just came about … [we’re] a bunch of decent athletes but average guys.

KW: How did you hear about the Snowbowl?

ST: We were looking for a Flag Football league and I stumbled upon it and it looked like it could be a fun day out with the guys.

KW: What is your favorite part about the Snowbowl?

ST: The cause, first and foremost, and the opportunity to compete for a day out in Giant Stadium. Most importantly, giving back to people who truly can appreciate the support [is important].

KW:  What is your favorite memory from any Snowbowl you have participated in?

ST:  Actually, last year was the first year we had kids from SONJ on our sideline for the last game… it truly inspires the cause and makes you think of how the lucky you are to be given the opportunity to give back in a small but important way.

KW: Any other fun information you would like to include?

ST: This fundraiser has provided a group of friends an opportunity to gain memories while being able to give back in return and there are not many opportunities such as this in our crazy day to day lives, but at the same time anything less than the TROPHY will be a disappointing year HAHA.

Thanks for sharing Sal!

Can’t wait to watch The Average Joe’s play in a few weeks!
