Flag: In Sahara like conditions on the field turf, the flag football team played two games in front of standing room only crowds this evening. In their first game vs Nebraska Red the team got off to a slow start but came back strongly and made a valient attempt that just fell short in the final minute of the game. Score was 22-14 Nebraska Red.  In the second game of the evening, which would decide the bronze/4th place position, Team NJ started the game with a safety and never looked back en route to 14-8 victory over Nebraska White. They gave up a goal late in the second half, but fought back and Alex Buzgo dribbled through the Montana defence and slotted the ball home to the delight of the NJ fans. After normal time, the game was still tied so we went into OT.  After 2 over time periods of 5 minutes we were still at a stalemate and so penalty kicks were used to settle the match. Despite the valiant effort of goalie Zach Stroik, Team NJ lost 3-1 on kicks. the determination and effort of the players for the 50 minutes they played was incredible in this game, and the large crowd left knowing they had watched a classic.
