Governor Chris Christie and Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno invited the Team New Jersey athletes to the outer office, yesterday, to be recognized for their achievements at the 2010 National Games held in Nebraska last month. They shook their hands and congratulated the 30 athletes that were there.  Before the meeting started, Governor Christie tweeted, saying:

@SONewJersey Looking forward to congratulating the athletes that represented our state. You guys make New Jersey so proud.

As a thank you for inviting them and recognizing their efforts and achievements, the Team NJ athletes presented Gov. Christie and Lt. Gov.  Guadagno with Team NJ hats and pins.

The 52 athletes from Team New Jersey came home with 84 medals from National Games, and 7 of those athletes will be headed to Athens Greece to compete in the World Games in 2011!

A big thank you goes out to Governor Chris Christie & Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno.  Our athletes had a great time and really enjoyed meeting you / being recognized!
